Ms. Jane Cynthia Naa Koshie Lamptey was employed as a State Attorney at the Attorney-General’s Department in 1995, and rose through the ranks to become the Acting Director of Public Prosecutions. As the country’s chief prosecutor, she handled several high-profile cases.
In 2018, President Akufo-Addo appointed Ms. Lamptey as Deputy Special Prosecutor.
As a result of events of the 16th of November 2020, and in accordance with law, Ms. Lamptey is Acting Special Prosecutor.
She is a lawyer of over 30 years standing at the Ghana Bar.
